SCSA was formed in 1998. There has been a tremendous growth and success tied together for the club. SCSA started with three teams in the 98 - 99 NCYSA calendar year. SCSA stands at just under 60 teams for the upcoming Fall 2006/Spring 2007 seasons. Over the years SCSA has consistently raised the bar and the levls of play.  Affiliations with recreation programs and organizations like the Charlotte Eagles places SCSA in a unique position for the future.  2006 marks the first year there will be Region 3 teams from SCSA. Having Mark Pinch as a DOC, having people like Brad Wylde coaching in the organization started SCSA in the direction of being a professional club. That was further evident when Brad Wylde started as Executive director and with the addition of Philip Poole into the SCSA equation. With the new addition of Brett Haight, the bar will continue to rise for the players development. SCSA has quietly built one of the best coaching staffs in all of charlotte. SCSA has been blessed with a turf field which continues to be the only turf field for a club in the area.

 

SCSA has been on the leading edge of sponsorship and relationships in the community. 2006/2007 brings several additional opportunities for SCSA. SCSA works closely with Parks and Rec and the CMS school system to provide back to the community.

 

SCSA is about servicing the families in the program. Providing top notch quality coaching and training opportunities which all lead to continued success on the field. SCSA is about providing every child in the program to learn and succeed at the level of play they are comfortable with. SCSA evaluates each and every player each year and the DOC goes over the skills of each player with the coaches.
