The Charlotte Eagles Men’s Professional team just got back to Gulu, Uganda, and we had the opportunity to give out a lot of the clothing, soccer gear, shoes etc. that we were able to collect through the Gifts for Gulu project.  The children there were so excited to receive the gifts and we were able to break ground on the Good News Community Center which is a 36 acre complex to be used to help children and adults get back on their feet after 20 years of civil war in N. Uganda.  The Center will have a primary school, basic medical facilities, a feeding program, bakery, brick-making, agricultural areas, and a soccer field for the kids.  

 

On behalf of the Charlotte Eagles Soccer Club and thousands of children across N. Uganda thank you for your generosity and participating in the Gifts for Gulu project.  We will continue to pursue helping these children and will also be continuing to collect donations of money, clothing, backpacks, blankets, undergarments, socks, shoes, stuffed animals, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo etc.
